When The Sun Shines

When people stumble across this site, they are sometimes looking for some information on someone who played for Cowdenbeath in days of old. Unfortunately we do not have a great deal of club history, until recently following an appeal from the webmaster. At the end of 2000 an Email was received from Billy Shankland, it read as follows:

Thought you might like a copy of these papers I never did get to see my father play football he had given it up by the time I came along in 1957 and he died back in 1974, I am in the middle of some research into his playing days, looking for anything with his name or face on. He went to Airdrie after leaving Cowdenbeath then on to Chelmsford, keep up the good work on the website.

For die-hard Cowden fans this is the equivalent of finding the Holy Grail, obviously it is too good to keep on a PC when other interested parties can view them.
