How did you start supporting Cowden ? : It started in the early 70's when Bjorn was driving the Volvo back to the Airport following a concert in Edinburgh and we got lost. We stopped to ask directions from 5 lads, who turned out to be Cowden supporters. Bjorn wasn't too handy with the English language at that time and he mis-pronounced a few words. Instead of asking "How do we get to the airport?", he asked "Which one of you guys wants to shag Agnetha?". Almost immediately he heard the reply "I do", "I do", "I do", "I do" and "I do". It was at this time he had an idea for a hit song, we have always followed the fortunes of Cowden since then.

Have any of your other recordings come from Cowden encounters? : Yes, when we heard that Ian Lee had signed for Cowden, we instantly wrote "Dancing Queen".

Have you ever contemplated following another 3rd Division team? : We nearly followed the 'Shire instead of Cowden, as on that fateful night in Edinburgh, the 5 Cowden guys were just behind a small timid chap from Falkirk. When the 4 of us drew up he ran away screaming that he wasn't used to crowds. We wrote "One Of Us" for all 'Shire fans as a tribute to him.

Any bad Cowden memories? : Yes, obviously Andy Harrow's reign as Cowden manager had it's effect on us. In fact it was about the 33rd game without a home League win that we split up. We finished our final album and penned "The Day Before You Came" as a reminder to everyone.

We are always looking for more celebrity fans, if you are aware of any please drop us an Email
